Crazy Gator

Every year around this time a number of former USAFSS/ESC flyers gather here in Leesburg for what we call FLAG.  This is the Florida Group of the Prop Wash Gang (PWG)

It began eleven years ago with four of us who lived near each other.  Jack Riedel, Jeff Wilcher, Pete Olive and I knew that there were other guys who would like to get together and share memories and war stories.  We began to gather names and contact people.  This group has grown slowly over the years and this year we had about 50 of us, including spouses and friends here.  

One of the PWGers, Retired Colonel Bob Cope, has been sending a check to contribute to the first round of drinks during our evening dinner gatherings.  This year we were at the Crazy Gator restaurant in nearby Eustis and I showed the gang the $100 Col. Bob had sent and hoisted the first drink in the round in Col. Bob's honor.  Thank You!
