Fresh Squeezed OJ

One of the many joys of living in Central Florida is the abundance of fresh fruit. Neighbors have lots and lots of oranges and grapefruit. Those of you who have been here know that we have fresh grapefruit every morning. It is so much sweeter and jucier than the store bought grapefruit.

Oranges are really ugly until they are washed. But inside they are nice looking and very full of juice. Today a neighbor gave us a large bag or oranges and we squeezed two containers of juice. One of the rewards of making fresh juice is that you can whip up a really nice screwdriver.

The electric squeezer is quite old but it just keeps spinning and juicing. When we had a Japanese college girl, Takako, visiting some years ago she just loved to run the machine. I wish she was here today to tackle this stack

Cheers
