Cheeseburger in Paradise

Central Connecticut, especially the area in and around Middletown and Meriden are famous for steamed Cheeseburgers.

Ted's, on Broad Street in Meriden is probably the best known of the places that serve this unique specialty.

A Google search for "Steamed Cheeseburger" will give you lots of results and links to Ted's and even a video.

Yesterday Joe Kinel, a Meriden High School classmate and fellow Air Force veteran, and I met at K LaMay's to try out their version of the steamed burger. It was a great burger, but we may already be spoiled by the Ted's version.
