You Light Up My Life

Shirley has made a number of lamps from wine bottles. They are really stunning at night or in low light situations. I drill a one-inch hole in the bottles with a diamond hole cutter and then we put a rubber grommet in the hole to prevent chaffing on the wire that goes into the bottle.

She uses 20-light strings of Christmas lights and then decorates the bottles with various goodies. Most often a grapevine wreath and some grapes. Sometimes the grapes are plastic ones but she also makes some grapes from Polymer Clay.

The lights are used for gifts, decorations at home, or some even go into wine shops, on consignment.

Fun to do and great to look at.

Shirley is quite the crafty person.
