This nasty little devil is a deer tick. You have probably heard of Lyme Disease. Well, it is named for the town of Lyme, Connecticut, where the disease was first discovered and identified. The deer tick is the carrier of Lyme Disease. It can be found all over the country.

A few weeks ago, after I had flu like symptoms for a couple of days, I decided to get tested for Lyme Disease. Yup! Positive. I never saw a tick or the telltale target or bullseye rash.

Three weeks of Doxycyclene and things should be all set.

The important thing to do is get tested early if you experience any flu like symptoms. The first stage of Lyme Disease is not a big thing. The second and third stages are where things become dangerous. Be safe out there.
