Rain, Rain, go away

So, here we are in the wet, soggy campground. There has already been almost 8" of rain this month. The local weather computer says 7.85"/199.4 mm compared to 2.54"/64.5 mm for the same period last year. Wow.



The tenters that set up on Friday ended up with waterfront campsites. Maybe they should be charged more for waterfront? Most got out with minimal trouble on Sunday afternoon, but one man who waited until this morning is buried in the mud. There is a call in to AAA to tow him out. Good luck.

New England weather can be funny. I grew up here and have seen it all. Lasy year May was cold and wet. This year it was warmer and dryer. The came June. Most days have been rainy, especially on the weekends, when most of the camping takes place.
